About GMAO

GMAO plays a central role in NASA’s Earth Science research enterprise.  GMAO develops models and assimilation systems for the Earth’s atmosphere, ocean, and land surface, blending them into a comprehensive Earth-system model.  The goal is to maximize the impact of satellite observations in climate, weather, and atmospheric composition estimation and prediction.  GMAO is contracting to augment its staff through the GMAO contract. Services include support for scientific research, development and maintenance related to GMAO’s modeling and data assimilation systems.
